BTL Group Ltd. (TSXV:BTL) (the “Company”) has changed its name to Interbit, Ltd. effective today. Common shares commenced trading under the new name with the new trading symbol IBIT at today’s opening.

The name change, approved at last year’s AGM, is to create alignment with its principal product Interbit, the megachain software platforms that have been the company’s development focus since mid-2016. Version 2 of the Interbit platform was released for testing and feedback on Apr. 23, 2018 with Version 3 currently in development. Interbit announced in November it was joining the CitizenOS Project and related venture with Xinova and Helix Applications and would license the Interbit platform to that venture.

“The emergence of Edge computing and 5G in 2019 will demand new forms of distributed computing, which our Interbit platforms will target,” Interbit CTO Tom Thompson said.

“Our strategic initiative CitizenOS, will enable us to begin tackling the practical challenges associated with deploying Smart City technologies into society,” CEO Dominic McCann said. “To support our approach we assembled, in November 2018, a highly specialized programming team, as well as hardware and software partners to begin delivering solutions for commercial opportunities in 2019.”

There is no change in Interbit’s share capital, and shareholders are not required to exchange their existing share certificates for new ones.  Interbit’s new CUSIP number is 45845F100 and its new ISIN number is CA
